Memorial Day
Memorial Day is the day of remembrance for those who died in
service of the United States of America. Memorial Day is an American Holiday it is on
the last Monday of May, is also known as Decoration Day. Over two dozen cities
and towns claim to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. Waterloo N.Y officially declared the birthplace
of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966. Many Americans observe
Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorial, gathering family together and
going to parades.
